| YOU’LL DISCOVER A beading oasis at Broome Beads in the far north Kimberley region of Broome in Western Australia.
Marius and Rose Dakin opened the store nearly a decade ago (they’ll celebrate 10 years in business in April next year) with just 200 jars of beads and about 20 of Rose’s beading creations on show.
And their first sale was a bag of plastic pearls for a dollar, purchased by a fisherman to dress up his lures!
Those days are long gone and today Broome Beads and sister store Margaret River Beads have a firm reputation. |
